Enjoy a slice of Victoria Sponge or our New Irish Coffee Carageen Mousse or any of our Homemade Deserts with our compliments. This treat will run every day this year. The opening day was 20th July 1991 so that will be a special day this year 20 years on.
* Tourism Ireland
Mary got a wonderful oppurtunity working with Tourism Ireland in Utrecht Netherlands on the Ireland stand and the interest in coming to Ireland is phenonomal. That visitor wants what we can offer in ambudance in Roscommon – walking,cycling, culture, history and food. What gems we have in Rinn Dun, St Johns Wood, Suck Valley Walk, Castles and historic houses.

Mary also attended a Good Food Ireland workshop in Dublin last week and was treated to lunch afterwards with Hugo Arnold and Margeret Jeffares in Pichet.
* The Restaurant Show
Last week also brought more culinary treats when we were invited as diners and critics at the recording of the Restaurant Show. Eamonn, Mary and Karen from our food and wine shop attended Wednesdays recording and Gerry our head chef and wife Barbara attended Thursday night. We will keep you posted about re-creating the menus on the nights of broadcast in www.gleesonstownhouse.com

* Catex R.D.S
Eamonn and Mary attended Catex in the R.D.S yesterday and met with Mary Kelly from www.kellysorganic.com who supply us with organic yoghurt and cheeses. They also met Marys neighbour from charlestown award winning chef Anthony kelly of www.riversiderest.com pictured here with his award winning sugarcraft creations. Later they caught up with the Good Food Ireland Team at the Small Firms Association Showcase. Bobby Kerr from Dragons den and Terry Prone made inspirational speeches and we want to wish Good Food Ireland best of luck in the finals. Overall a great marketing day…….
